Georgia Couple Killed in Head-on Collision With Illegal Smugglers on Dangerous Highway Near Texas-Mexico Border
Georgia congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene filed privileged Articles of Impeachment on Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. This forces a vote within two legislative days to fire the controversial Joe Biden appointee.
“Yesterday, two Americans from my district in Dalton, GA were killed in a high-speed head-on collision at the hands of human traffickers smuggling illegal aliens into this country,” Greene posted on X.
She was referring to an elderly couple, Jose and Isabel Lerma, who were killed in a head-on crash with a human smuggler fleeing police in Texas.
Jose, 67, and Isabel, 65, were identified by Texas authorities as the victims in one of the two cars involved in the crash. Six people, including illegal immigrants from Honduras, in the other car, including the suspected smuggler, also died.
Texas Department of Public Safety said the crash happened when a Honda – being chased at the time by sheriff’s deputies – went around to pass an 18-wheeler and hit an SUV being driven by the Lermas head-on.
The car burst into flames and the Lermas were killed instantly, according to Chris Olivarez, a spokesman for the DPS.
“This is unacceptable! Alejandro Mayorkas is derelict of his duty to secure our southern border and my constituents are dying!’ she continued.
“They had 5 kids who will never get to say goodbye,” she expressed. “The utter disregard for American life displayed by Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas can no longer be ignored. The time for more hearings and phases is over.”
“Americans are getting murdered just traveling to see their families,” Greene noted. “Lives have been lost forever. Everyone should care. This is not a political issue.”
“That’s why I just introduced privileged Articles to IMPEACH Secretary Mayorkas.”
Even Texas RINOS, Senator John Cornyn and Representative Tony Gonzales are finally speaking out against Mayorkas.

Good for her. If there is a way to prosecute this idiot, congress should go forward. Treason, would be a good start. It’s darn dangerous in Texas, especially near the border.
