• More than a quarter (31%) of all traffic-related deaths are the direct result of alcohol impairment.
• 1 in 4 crashes with teens involve an underage drunk driver (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).
Using data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, here are the top most dangerous American cities for drunk driving across the nation.

Jacksonville, Florida – 175 DUI deaths out of a population of 971,319 – 0.0180 per cent
Colorado Springs, Colorado – 85 DUI deaths out of a population of 486,248 – 0.0175 per cent
Fresno, California – 93 DUI deaths out of a population of 545,567 – 0.0170 per cent
Detroit, Michigan – 104 DUI deaths out of a population of 620,376 – 0.0168 per cent

Dallas, Texas – 216 DUI deaths out of a population of 1,299,544 – 0.0166 per cent
Greensboro, North Carolina – 43 DUI deaths out of a population of 301,115 – 0.0143 per cent
Houston, Texas – 307 DUI deaths out of a population of 2,302,878 – 0.0133 per cent

Sacramento, California – 70 DUI deaths out of a population of 528,001 – 0.0133 per cent
Tucson, Arizona – 71 DUI deaths out of a population of 546,574 – 0.0130 per cent
Phoenix, Arizona – 212 DUI deaths out of a population of 1,644,409 – 0.0129per cent

Devastating. I can’t imagine the pain being drowned in the alcohol, nor the agony of the people left to deal with the mess. That School Bus photo says way too much.
