Forty-two percent (42%) of voters have a favorable opinion of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, the highest of any of the nine justices.

A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that many American voters have never heard of the Supreme Court justices. FIfteen percent (15%) say they have never heard of Clarence Thomas, and 32% have never heard of Elena Kagen.

The survey, conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on February 2-4, 2023, used a sample weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of Registered Voters.

Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
