Tulsi Gabbard a former congressional representative from 2013 to 2021 (D-Hawaii) announced on Oct. 11 that she’s leaving the Democrat Party.
“I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party,” she announced. “It’s now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue and stoking anti-white racism, who actively worked to undermine our God-given freedoms enshrined in our Constitution, and who are hostile to people of faith and spirituality, who demonize the police, who protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, who believe in open borders, who weaponize the national security state to go after their political opponents, and above all, are dragging us ever closer to nuclear war,”
“When the party in power does not believe in the rule of law but they’re responsible for writing and enforcing laws, our democracy is doomed,” Gabbard said. “Today’s Democratic Party does not believe in our constitutionally protected right to free speech.”
“Today, I’m calling on my fellow common sense independent-minded Democrats to join me in taking action. Join me in leaving the Democratic Party,” she continued. “If you can no longer stomach the direction that the so-called woke Democratic Party ideologues are taking this country, I invite you to join me.”
Gabbard, 41, represented Hawaii in Congress from 2013 to 2021, when she chose to run for president instead of reelection. Gabbard endorsed Joe Biden after dropping out of the race.

Her policies are not consistent with what a conservative would grasp. If she has changed her stance, then she should state her beliefs. She is sure to bring some of her voters to where she winds up. If she is going to be a Republican, then say so. I knew she would leave 6 months ago when she started showing up on Fox news. Gabbard could be a formidable force in the Repubs if she chose to. Should we worry about the mid-terms? Hell yes. I am not seeing ads from the Repubs, and no one is going after the Dems. McConnel is a useless hunk of flesh and should be removed from his post. He will hurt more than help. All I am seeing is ” oh Spalding, please send Nancy a bottle of the 500 year old Vodka to her table and tell her its from Mitchie-Poo.” Same old crap on a new china plate.

Good point and that sounds about right. So far, the Republicans have been quiet. Has the problem with the ballots and machines been solved yet? Crickets and lightning bugs.

Sporadically in some counties in some states court battles are being won and voting laws appear to be tightened and/or enforced. Getting close.

I applaud her for leaving the Democratic Party, no matter where she ends up. Most likely, she will register as an Independent. She may even end up on Fox News.
