As of 11:22 p.m. CST, about 60 percent of the ballots counted indicate California Governor Gavin Newsom will remain in office.

Gavin had 5,517,683, or 66.81% of the votes to stay in office.
There were 2,740,544, or 33.19% of the votes were to oust him out of his governorship.

With 1,900,782 votes, Republican Party Elder is the front runner out of 45 candidates to become the new governor should Newsom be recalled.
Newsom was helped with an $84 million war chest with donations of $3 million from Netflix, $1 million from George Soros and $1 million from Facebook.
