️Alaska reported 611,078 registered voters in 2024, but had 540,681 citizens of voting age in that year. How does this happen?
Alaska Governor Lisa Murkowski has been married to a registered Democrat, Verne Martell, for nearly 4 decades.
Murkowski is a President Donald Trump hater who has been taking out her personal anger on the American people for far too long.
She voted to convict Trump and was one of the first Republicans to call for his resignation after January 6. She has repeatedly distanced herself from him. She argued the GOP should move on. Meanwhile, she continues to wear the Republican label.
She has been a vocal opponent of the SAVE Act. This bill aims to ensure that only American citizens vote in federal elections. She took to the Senate floor for about 40 minutes and discussed all the reasons that the SAVE Act should not be passed.
️The Alaska Republican has long been viewed by many in her party as a RINO. She also introduced an amendment to the act. This amendment would exempt people who were born before 1950 from having to prove they are a US citizen when registering to vote.
️She was not initially voted into the Senate, her father Governor Frank Murkowski appointed his 45-year-old daughter to take the seat
️Murkowski won Alaska by 18,796 votes in 2022.
S️omehow, Alaska registered 45,400 new voters between 2020 and 2022.️ None of the 45,400 new voters required proof of citizenship to register to vote.
Murkowski still calls herself a Republican. But for many years, that label has existed in name only.
For years, she has positioned herself against the Republican base, against the party’s direction, and—most consistently—against Donald Trump. This isn’t occasional disagreement. It’s a pattern.

LOL! I guess she recently implied Alaskans were too remote and too backwards to know how to get ID and vote, so people have retaliated by making videos showing her exactly how they already get ID and vote. I guess Barrow, Alaska, which is about as far North as you can go, actually has two espresso stands and a Wells Fargo!
