Who remembers Eric Swalwell, the perpetual DC insider, now running for California governor. Christine and his ties with”Fang Fang” Fang?

She is a Chinese national. She was suspected of being a Chinese Ministry of State Security (MSS) operative. She was reportedly working closely with Swalwell’s campaign, helping with fundraising. A photo showed Swalwell posing with Song Ru’an.
At the time of the photo, Ru’an was the Deputy Consul General at China’s Bay Area consulate in San Francisco. He was later chosen to serve as the Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in Hong Kong. His tenure lasted until at least 2021.
Today he is crying foul over his “endangered” family. This comes after Democrat rival Tom Steyer exposed the laughable sham he’s been pulling to qualify for the race.

Swalwell posted:
“I receive hundreds of death threats every year. My children are not allowed in the yard. That’s why my address is private. And now Tom Steyer has not only put my life at risk but also my family’s by releasing my address. And the California Post and Daily Mail took his bait and are harassing my neighbors. Tom, you can try to buy this election all you want, but this is low, even for you.”
It is a typical Swawell performance. As usual, the real story is that he rents a single bedroom in Livermore to pretend he’s a California resident. Meanwhile, his actual family lives in their well-photographed DC home. He has happily shared this on social media for years.
Civil liberties attorney Laura Powell nailed it: “What a ridiculous lie. Swalwell’s family lives in a house in DC. It’s very easy to locate because it was featured in Variety magazine years ago. He has posted photos of it himself.”
“What’s been revealed is the location of the California house where he rents a single bedroom to claim residency to run for governor. Obviously his wife and three young children don’t live in that room.”

Powell doubled down with receipts. They showed Swalwell posting videos from the Rose Hotel in Pleasanton during a government shutdown. This is hardly the picture of a committed Californian.
Neighbors in Livermore say they’ve barely seen him, and reports confirm he’s barely there. Yet he wants to lead the state he treats like a mail drop.
This is peak Swalwell: grandstanding about threats while his own posts have broadcast far more personal details. Now he’s weaponizing “family safety” to dodge accountability for gaming residency rules.
Conservatives have long called out this career swamp creature. The hypocrisy is glaring—he demands privacy he never bothered to protect himself.

Californians are already dealing with sky-high taxes, rampant homelessness, and businesses fleeing the state in droves. The last thing they need is another politician who can’t even be straight about where he actually lives.
Between the Fang-Fang fiasco and these residency games, one has to wonder: what other corners has Swalwell been cutting? If he’s willing to play fast and loose with basic residency requirements, how would he handle the responsibilities as governor? This is a monumental concern for America’s most populous state.
Real citizens deserve elected officials who are transparent about even the most basic aspects of their lives. Swalwell’s pattern of questionable decisions should be disqualifying for any voter who values integrity in their leaders.
Swalwell’s fake California address stunt is crumbling, and his victim act isn’t saving him.
