Confirmed: 126,000 Homes, 104 Deaths in Historic American Disaster

It is now confirmed that 126,000 homes have been destroyed, there are
104 confirmed deaths, and
$60 billion in damages–all in Western North Carolina.

Of course, this is confirmation from the existing Biden-Harris Administration. The numbers are believed to be far higher than what the White House and Mainstream Media are reporting.

What is the Obama-Biden-Harris-Mayorkas team doing about it?

Last week survivors living in hotels and other locations were told that on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, approximately 3,500 Carolinians were to be kicked out of FEMA housing into 20 degree weather.

Unfortunately for the FEMA, a severe winter storm barreled through the region on Jan. 10, delivering upwards of 4 inches of snow and sleet in some areas. Mayorkas and company blessed these citizens with a last minute reprieve.

The 3,500 households that were previously scheduled to check out of hotels Jan. 12, had their stays extended until Jan. 14.

FEMA

This is the second extension FEMA has granted displaced residents utilizing the agency’s Transitional Sheltering Assistance program in recent days.

FEMA asks that anyone still needing assistance with housing, to call 800-621-3362.

“Courtney Crouse, who founded the nonprofit Hell or Highwater NC two weeks after Tropical Storm Helene landed in WNC Sept. 27, said she met a woman in the Home Depot parking lot ahead of the winter storm,” the local Citizen Times reported. “Wearing a long sleeve shirt and slippers, the woman said she, her husband and two children lost their home in the storm and were living in a camper without mattresses, Crouse said.”

Continuing homeless in North Carolina

The nonprofit has been able to place others in tiny homes as their FEMA vouchers ran out.

“My heart right now is just in trying to do everything that we can do to stabilize and help. But we’re still just putting Band-Aids on bullet holes. This is not a long-term solution at all,” Crouse said.

North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein signed his first executive order of 2025 to help expand and grow the number of temporary housing units authorizing the North Carolina Department of Public Safety to purchase up to 1,000 units of transportable temporary housing units (travel trailers and campers).

  1. When Ohio had that tragic train derailment of toxic material, Biden refused to go as Ohio voted for Trump. Same thing for NC. He figured the area hit by Helene were mostly Trump voters so they were punished especially if they saw a Trump sign. But in California, those are his voters so he offered 100% reimbursement to the state and city so they could all get raises and mishandle the spending of it. Biden is vindictive, selfish, and lacks empathy. Bad qualities for a president. Four more days of his revenge.

  2. It’s an opportunity for us to all help WNC in any way we can, to partner with people with their boots on the ground who are there already, well organized and in need of funds. We can, as the people, bypass the government and pull our own out of this distress, although it’s going to take months, years. And President Trump will be on it. I don’t think anyone will ever forget this; seared into our minds and hearts.

  3. The people of North Carolina are treated this way while so called asylum seekers are in luxury hotels. Disgraceful. Stop giving funds to NGOS to promote illegal immigration and give money to help our own people. Use FEMA funds to help disaster victims not illegal aliens. Defund the UN as well.

  4. Biden and his criminal cronies did this. FEMA can’t be depended on. The illegal invaders are treated special while American citizens are left with a pile in their hand. Let us pray that President Trump will turn the money flow around to where it needs to go. I’m still out on the CA mess, don’t feel too sorry for some of them, mainly the rich movie folks. The entire fiasco was preventable, let’s hope the citizens of CA realize what these fools have done to their state.
