In 2021, I was sitting in a doctor’s waiting room. An attractive woman walked in with a box of gourmet sandwiches, cake and balloons.

They called my name and instructed me to go to Exam Room #4. The lady with the goodies and balloons walked into the doctor’s office break room as a nurse took my temperature, weight and told me she would be back for my blood pressure. She was so excited to go to the breakroom that she forgot to close the #4 room door.

I could see and hear the excitement the office staff, nurses and the doctors engaged in as the sophisticatedly beautiful lady served and entertained them.

On her way out, I noticed ‘Merck & Co.’ on her name tag. When the nurse and doctor finally came in the exam room, she prescribed a statin from Merck. “Take one in the evening,” she told me walking out the door.

When my little sister was vaccinated in the early 1960s, children received only 5 vaccine shots in total.

Today, the CDC says that children should receive 72 vaccine shots, a majority of them before the age of 6.
