Sex & Gender are Two Different Things

The 2024 Olympics was indeed a controversial one. Personally, we boycotted every bit of it and are glad we did—especially after learning about the “Lord’s Supper” fiasco and other opening day ceremonies.

We learned early on that Imane Khelif of Algeria and Lin Yu-ting of Taiwan,  who have failed gender eligibility tests in the past, were permitted to “identify” in order to compete as females even though both were disqualified from the 2023 women’s world championships by the International Boxing Association (IBA) for their failure to meet “eligibility rules.” They have XY chromosomes, the biological traits of man.

Khelif won the match against female Angela Carini of Italy when the woman bowed out just 46 seconds into the bout after Khelif’s manly punches dislodged her chinstrap and bloodied her shorts. After deciding to withdraw, she fell to her knees sobbing in the ring.

According to Fair Play For Women, a UK based organization, sex and gender identity are two very different things.

● Everyone has a sex.

● Sex is about how you were born and the body you have.

● Some people say they have a gender identity too.

● Gender identity is a feeling.

“Transgender” people “identify” with a gender that is different from the sex they were born.

Six Key Areas of Harm

● Unfair competition and demoralization

● Losing out on records, rankings or on opportunities to participate

● No consent or being coerced into a mixed-sex environment

● The chilling climate of intimidation, fear and silencing

● Loss of privacy and dignity

● Risking women’s and girls’ physical safety

  1. It is sad as far as humans have advanced simply defining a man and woman causes such confusion. Your DNA identifies you from birth, period. Doctors, surgeons, psychiatrist, politicians, activist, or the main stream media can not change your sex. Visibly one can pretend to represent the other sex but that is as close as it gets. It is unfortunate a block of the Medical Profession seems to believe radical permanent surgery is the answer to gender identity issues. The main stream media has turned this issue into a fad with young people. Many of which will regret their decisions. There are approximately 4-6% of the population dealing with this issue. Why then is it one of the main focal points of the DemocRats? Division? As a civilized society we all should want everyone to be happy and live productive lives. I am repeatedly told we have to respect these individuals rights and beliefs. OK, but how about they respect the rights and beliefs of us that are tired of this being shoved in our face…’ nuff said.

  2. I feel sorry for the Algerian, in a country where it is impossible to accept that by a freak of nature he is a man. However, he has passed puberty as one and has the lung power and the muscle mass associated with male puberty and sports bodies should accept the truth and exclude him from female events.

  3. If you have a Y (chromosome), then you are a guY and shouldn’t compete in women’s sports. Less than .1% of XY babies are born with ambiguous external genitalia and mislabeled as female at birth. However, they can have internal testes that pump out male hormones especially during and after puberty see Castor Semenya. I don’t know Imane’s or Lin’s plumbing but the elevated testosterone indicates that they have testes whether external or internal. Their opponents should have kicked them in the groin even if it meant suspension. If they dropped to the ground and screamed and cried like babies, you know that they have normal male genitalia. One way to remove males with normal genitalia in boxing is to ban cups (athletic supporters) and allow hits or kicks below the belt. I would like to see males on the balance beam or even the uneven bars in gymnastics.
