In 2023, CNN and Fox News both registered 20% declines in viewership. But percentage declines do not tell the whole story. 

CNN is bleeding so profusely that they are only relevant to the most die hard far-left woke viewers.

In fact, Telemundo, GTV, Hallmark Channel, TBS, History, USA Network, METV, TLC, Discovery Channel, and even GRIT, each have more viewers than CNN.

Going back to 2015, Fox News had an average of 1,826,000 viewers. With Donald Trump announcing his run for presidency, and  winning, Fox News jumped up to 2,475,000 average viewers, up 36%, by 2016. However, after their shocking call of Biden winning Arizona prematurely on election night 2016, they plummeted down to 2,423,000 by January 2017.

In 2016, CNN had 1,298,000 (up from 732,000 in 2015) average viewers. They had 1,067,000 by the end of January 2017, 2018: 984,000, 2019: 965,000, and by 2022: 735,000.

Note that Disney Channel, in 2015 had 1,751,000 average viewers, far more than CNN.

By the end of 2017, a more woke Disney went down 34% in viewership. In 2022, they were at only 178,000.

As CNN continues their spiral downward, MSNBC catches some of those viewers and saw a slight 2% uptick in 2023.

Newsmax, which is becoming known as the most honest news source in America, has earned  a hefty 22% increase.

Newsnation is up and even heftier 73% (although from a smaller base). 

Net Advertising Revenue for CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC and NBC have declined each year since 2020.

In January 2018, after President Trump suggested it, ten stories were selected as the most fake and bogus of 2017. 

The fake news awarded were from:

 • CNN (four times)

• The New York Times (twice)

• The Washington Post

• ABC News

• Newsweek 

• Time

An eleventh bonus award went to reports about Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections that was generally called “perhaps the greatest hoax perpetrated on the American people.”

In 1988, total circulation of US Newspapers was 61.5 million readers. By 2004, it was down 54.6 million. 2013: 40.7M, 2018: 28.5M, 2021: 22.7M and today, it is less than 19M.

The three highest-circulation daily papers in the U.S. – The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post – have in recent years not fully reported their digital circulation.

Wokeism

• In 2014, Disney Channel was a top 10 network, with nearly 2 million viewers.

• In 2024, Disney Channel is ranked No. 80, with 132,000 viewers.

• Nickelodeon (-34%), Disney Channel (-26%), Disney Junior (-27%), Nick Jr. (-34%), Cartoon Network (-19%) 

• HBO, down a tremendous 34% among viewers, with Showtime down 25% and Starz down 31%.

• In election year 2016, Fox News led all basic cable networks, with an average of 2,475,000 viewers in primetime – up 36% from last year.
