28 Republican Senators Who Voted for Additional Funding for Ukraine

Late Tuesday, the US Senate pushed ahead in sweeping bipartisan fashion to break the government funding stalemate, advancing a temporary measure, called a “continuing resolution,” or CR, to keep government running through Nov. 17.

It would maintain funding at current levels with a $6 billion boost for Ukraine and $6 billion for U.S. disaster relief, among other provisions.

More Republican senators  signaled they will slash the large budget for Ukraine aid.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky) who sits on the Committee on Foreign Relations, said he “will oppose any effort to hold the federal government hostage for Ukraine funding. I will not consent to expedited passage of any spending measure that provides any more U.S. aid to Ukraine.”

Now, pro-Biden Democrats and some Republicans who have jumped on the great ‘Ukraine Kickback Gravy Train’ want to lump in disaster relief with Biden’s emergency funding request, which includes aid to Ukraine, instead of voting on each bill one by one.

On Tuesday, Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla) demanded passage of his Federal Disaster Responsibility Act, which would replenish the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s budget.

Last week, Democrat Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island blocked Scott’s request on the Senate floor for a vote on the bill because it didn’t include Ukraine aid.

Here are the GOP members who voted Tuesday in favor of more funding for Ukraine:

“We’re not interested in a continuing resolution that continues the policies and spendings of the Biden, Schumer, Pelosi era,” Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) chair of the House Freedom Caucus, said. “We’re here to put our foot down and say this place right here, it stops now.”

“Now you run into a calendar problem, but the calendar problem is small compared to the principle battle that we’re in. We are not going to casually fund the decline of our country, we being the Freedom Caucus,” said Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La). “We are going to fight with everything that we have.”

  1. We need to vote out Cornyn. He is an embarrassment to the state of TX. These Rino’s will give Biden anything he wants. If we were really fighting for democracy in Ukraine it would be worth it. But we are not. Do you ever see any pictures or videos supporting Biden and Zelensky’s victory claims. No, just talk and propaganda from bobble heads. We are giving billions to Ukraine and the Biden admin shows very little accountability of where the money is going. I am not a Putin supporter as some will call me now. Putin is a evil person that murders his own citizens for power and communist control. But I am a realistic person and can see we are blowing billions of dollars, depleting our own military reserves while watching our own country spiral out of control. Time for other European countries to step up. And that’s another question, why haven’t they? Why is there no negotiations ongoing? 🤔 I have 1 question for Biden. Why is Ukraine’s border so important but you have America’s southern border wide open with no control. These people funding the war are either dumb, corrupt or both! Zelensky was basically installed by Obama and now Joey is profiting off him at the cost of the American citizens. We have done our part. Time for others to step up. By the way, this would have never happened under a President Trump admin. You can bet the house on that! ’nuff said!

  2. I see the usual suspects on the list. Typical washington scumbags, fund a foreign war with our money and the taxpayers don’t want to fund Ukraine, the most corrupt country in Europe. No accountability or conscience.
