More Elvis Presley Photos You Likely Have Never Seen Before Now

The recorded voice of Elvis Presley has been heard by more humans than any other in the history of mankind.

On the anniversary of his death at age 42 in 1977, we present more rare (some colorized) photos fans may not have seen, until now.

These photos are from the 1940s through early 1960s.

  1. Well, these are good old pic. When I was a wee lad, my father, who played fiddle with The Light Crust Doughboys, was a house band member at the Big D Jamboree in Dallas, Texas. So it happens, the Doughboys were the house band, so Dad and Carroll Hubbard alternated Saturday nights so they could play other gigs in Fort Worth and Dallas. I attended many a show with my Dad and got to sit with the current lineup of artists that played that night. I’ve met Carl Perkins, Ronnie Dawson ( who was a close personal friend of mine), Wanda Jackson, Lefty Frizzell, and so on, but I didn’t get to meet or see Elvis when he played there. So it happens, the night he did, I didn’t go with my Dad and missed his show. I missed the “E,” but Wanda Jackson cleaned my ears with a hankey and her spit, so I guess that made up for it.
