California voters will decide on Nov. 5, 2024 on a constitutional amendment that would repeal Proposition 8, a 2008 amendment that defined marriage as between a man and a woman.
The 2024 ballot measure would also add language to the California Constitution stating that “the right to marry is a fundamental right.”
Currently, 29 states have constitutions that ban same-sex marriage or define marriage as between one man and one woman.
Nevada was the first state to repeal a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage in 2020. It is now the only state to explicitly recognize same-sex marriage in its constitution.
The U.S. Supreme Court’s 2015 ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges upholding same-sex marriage rendered state bans unenforceable.
California voters originally approved Proposition 8 52-47%. In 2009, the California Supreme Court ruled that Proposition 8 “carved out a limited [or ‘narrow’] exception to the state equal protection clause” and prohibited same-sex marriage under the California Constitution.
On Aug. 4, 2010, U.S. District Court Judge Vaughn Walker ruled that Proposition 8 violated the U.S. Constitution. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals permitted same-sex marriages in California to begin on June 28, 2013. Although inactive, Proposition 8’s language remained in the state constitution.
The 2024 ballot measure would remove the text of Article 1, Section 7.5 of the California Constitution, which currently states that “Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California,” and replace it with the following:
(a) The right to marry is a fundamental right. (b) This section is in furtherance of both of the following: (1) The inalienable rights to enjoy life and liberty and to pursue and obtain safety, happiness, and privacy guaranteed by Section 1. (2) The rights to due process and equal protection guaranteed by Section 7.
Far-left progressive California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) said, “Same sex marriage is the law of the land and Prop. 8 has no place in our constitution. It’s time that our laws affirm marriage equality regardless of who you are or who you love.”
California Assemblymember Evan Low (D), who sponsored the proposition, said, “Although, same-sex marriage is legal, it could be temporary. We have to remain vigilant, unwavering in our dedication to equality.”
The California State Legislature unanimously approved the repeal measure. The California State Assembly passed the amendment on June 26, 2023, and the California State Senate passed it on July 13, 2023. To place a constitutional amendment on the ballot in California, a two-thirds (66.67%) vote is required during one legislative session in the Legislature.

Escalation of Commitment, this is what we are seeing.
“Escalation of commitment is a human behavior pattern in which an individual or group facing increasingly negative outcomes from a decision, action, or investment nevertheless continue the behavior instead of altering course. The actor maintains behaviors that are irrational, but align with previous decisions and actions.”
I have thought of the term in other senses, but yesterday saw a video on Gateway Pundit or Breitbart that a woman, from Australia I think, said that this is being seen in the Transgenderism community. She said it is vile for parents to decide what sex their children should be and condemn than to a life of misery by consenting to Sex Altering Surgery, (I tried to explain what I mean, but it sounds so nasty that I think I’ll assume people know what I mean), then the child grows up, realizes they are a Male or Female by birth, and want to live that way, but the parents ridiculous actions forever prevented that.
Folks, it’s all population control. I doubt the globalists that push this agenda really adhere to it. For Instance: “Kerry Defended Taking Private Jet to Iceland for Environmental Award: ‘the Only Choice for Somebody Like Me’”
This was in February 2021 (the article), during bad times with covid, everyone on lock-down, and he flies a private plane to accept an award, adding to pollution, the consumption of fuel, etc. He had choices, receive the award in a Video Conference, ship the Award in normal shipments so that the only additional fuel was for a tiny increase in weight.
A person in my neighborhood has his grandson living with him. I’ve been told to refer to the grandson as her/she, that’s not going to happen. He dresses like a prostitute, his grandfather even told him that. He wears skirts so short that his buttocks are literally visible. He wears a form or stuffed bra and he appears to be better stacked than Dolly Parton. It’s an obscene caricature of women, he’s not a woman, he never will be a woman.
These people have swallowed this asininity hook, line, and sinker. It’s to reduce the population, Sex Changes don’t produce the opposite sex, they produce grotesque caricatures of the opposite sex without reproductive function. Same Sex Marriages will not produce children.
For the books, there are some decent people that would be married to someone of the same sex, but most of them are attention seekers, lost in trying to find themselves and being exploited by globalists without realizing it.

One group decides that they are smart enough to decree who gets to reproduce or stay alive, or just have fun manipulating people into destroying themselves, and thinking no one will ever touch them. And they think they are the good guys. There’s a surprise coming.
