Charity Plagued With Recent Improprieties

The Make-a-Wish Foundation president and CEO Richard Davis released a video last week, announcing “All wish participants, including your wish kid and any siblings, will need to be two weeks past completion of either a one-dose or a two-dose vaccine” to participate.

The public outcry against that decision was tremendous.

Even actor Rob Schneider said he would permanently end his relationship with the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

“Make-a-Wish will only grant wishes to terminally ill children who are fully vaccinated?!” While it has been an honor to work with this foundation over the years, if this policy of discrimination of children is true? I will never work with them again. Ever,” tweeted Schneider.

 Over the weekend the foundation reversed its course.

The foundation issued a statement Sunday night saying it understands that many children seeking wishes can’t be vaccinated because of their illness, and that Make-a-Wish will no longer require those children to get a vaccination for the COVID-19 coronavirus.

“We understand that there are many families whose children aren’t eligible for the vaccine yet, and we also know that there are families who are choosing to not get the vaccine,” their website stated. “We respect everyone’s freedom of choice. Make-a-Wish will continue to grant wishes for all eligible children. Make-a-Wish will not require anyone to get vaccinated to receive a wish.”

“Any child fighting a critical illness is eligible for Make-a-Wish. While it does not reflect the majority of children we serve, we do occasionally serve children whose medical provider has determined that the child will not survive their illness. In time-sensitive situations involving an end-of-life diagnosis, a special process has been and will continue to be in place regardless of vaccination status.”

When Davis announced they wouldn’t grant wishes to children if they hadn’t met the vaccination criteria, he used this excuse:

“Now we’ve consulted with doctors and medical professionals throughout the National Medical Advisory Council. We’ve been monitoring public health organizations like the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics.”

“This is literally a new low for humanity,” remarked a Twitter user who originally posted the video. “Terminally ill children will not be granted a wish.. from the make a wish foundation… unless.. you guessed it.. they’re fully vaccinated.”

Socialists Democrats and businesses are already using a two-tier form of discrimination which treats the unvaccinated as second class citizens in the form of vaccine passports, lockdowns and other restrictions.

Even the liberal World Health Organization has admitted “the Pfizer/Biotech vaccine is suitable for use by people aged 12 years and above.”

In 2020, Make-A-Wish Foundation dismissed their CEO Jennifer Woodley over “financial irregularities.”

Woodley, 40, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, was booked at the Polk County Jail in Des Moines, Iowa, in January 2021 on two counts of first-degree theft and one count of the unauthorized use of a credit card.

Woodley had been with the charity, based in the Des Moines suburb of Urbandale, for about a year.

According to criminal complaints unsealed Friday, Jennifer Woodley secretly awarded herself a $10,000 bonus in October 2019 that had not been approved by the board. The bonus, which Woodley added to a list of legitimate bonuses earned by other employees, cost the organization $15,540.

Woodley also made 84 unauthorized purchases of more than $23,000 on an organization credit card over a 10-month span, according to the complaint. Woodley allegedly did not reimburse the charity for her personal expenses, according to the criminal complaint.
