It is my understanding that the Nashville killer used a 9mm Weapon. In that environment, it is unlikely that the weapon offered any advantage over a 15 round capacity Handgun. The killer’s weapon/s may have held more rounds of ammunition, but I think it would be little different than carrying a 9mm Handgun with spare magazines.

The killer’s weapon was of a type that if used by the military, would be a Sub-Machine Gun, this denotes, essentially, a simpler mechanism for the action and a fully automatic rate of fire. In a Semi-Automatic Mode, I fail to see the terror imposed by it’s use over the terror imposed by the use of a Semi-Automatic Handgun.

Though shoulder held weapons offer a steadier hold, at these close ranges, it’s unlikely that it offered any significant advantage, especially used by someone not trained and disciplined in it’s use, and does have a disadvantage of being much easier to grab and manipulate; than a handgun; by someone attempting to defend themselves from the killer.

Longer barreled weapons likely have more Ft/Lbs of Muzzle and Downrange Energy, but again, not to the degree that a Rifle using Rifle Rounds would see, and it’s unlikely that the outcomes would have been any different had a Handgun been used.

As long as America has schools without Armed Protection, these shootings, and other forms of deadly assaults, will continue. A local school near me, there is a Police Car parked at the school, I believe the Resource Officer is actually a Police Officer, and he/she is ready to use their Firearm to Defend Children and Teachers alike. Schools should have designated people and a secure Firearm/s, or Designated people that carry a Firearm. The Pittsburgh Zoo, when a child fell into a Wild Dog display and was killed, the DA was astounded that the Zoo did not possess a Firearm. He made sure they obtained a Firearm/s, and designated zoo employees were trained in their use.

Liberals, thinking it’s a Safer World for lack of a Tool that propels Brass/Lead Projectiles to create holes in the bodies of animals or people that attack occupants of Gun Free Zones, are responsible for these shootings. See the following, a much rarer occurrence in terms of a crime.
