Biden administration and California state officials have taken away the lunch money of low-income kids because their Christian school doesn’t comply with its radical redefinition of “sex” in Title IX.
The Church of Compassion, a non-denominational church in El Cajon, CA, operates a small Christian school—Dayspring Christian Learning Center. They are dedicated to serving everyone in the community, and roughly 40 percent of students come from low-income families.

Now, because the school won’t violate its religious beliefs, state and federal officials have denied its application to continue receiving the school lunch funding it has received for almost 20 years.
Rep. Jim Banks (R-Indiana) wrote a letter to Joe Biden’s Department of Agriculture Sec. Tom Vilsack demanding answers over a department rule change Banks said would block religious schools from participating in the USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service programs.
“Nearly 30 million schoolchildren across the country rely on FNS programs for breakfast and lunch costs,” Banks wrote. “Is it truly this administration’s position that those children do not deserve nutrition because their school disagrees with the Biden administration’s redefinition of the word ‘sex’?”

The learning center describes itself as “place where children and parents are accepted and loved… a place where laughter and play are cherished… a place where children’s needs are met in warm response.

“This is outrageous,” the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) wrote. “It’s cruel to use low-income children as leverage to force a small Christian school to violate its religious beliefs.”
Biden administration using school lunches as political leverage
By redefining “sex” in Title IX to include sexual orientation and gender identity, the Biden administration targeted virtually every aspect of school policy: Curricula. Hiring. Athletics. Restrooms. Even pronouns.

Even though Title IX explicitly exempts religious institutions like the Church of Compassion and Dayspring Christian Learning Center, California officials administering the school lunch program ignored this and denied Dayspring’s application to continue receiving funding.

“The Biden administration and California officials have made it clear: Accept radical gender ideology, or as far as they are concerned, these kids can go hungry,” the ADF commented. “This is government overreach at its worst. It’s sacrificing the health and well-being of children for an ideology.”

It’s unfortunate that the education of low-income kids is being affected due to a disagreement over definitions. Every child deserves access to lunch and equal opportunities.

Biden cannot call himself a Christian and must be called out every time he does.

Congratulations to Biden and Newsom on getting even richer with the lunch money they took from underprivileged Christian school children.

Of course it’s sickenenly wrong. But it’s high time Christian churches and schools stopped relying on this regime for anything. Let the Church step up; maybe help each other from one church to another.
