A Franklin, Tennessee soccer coach, who police say is in the United States illegally, has been arrested for drugging and raping children between the ages of 9 and 17 and is being held on a $500,000 bond, according to an arrest affidavit.
Camilo Hurtado Campos, 63, will appear at 1 p.m. Aug. 17 for his first court appearance on felony charges of rape and sexual exploitation of a minor.
After dining at a local pizza restaurant, the pervert left his cell phone behind on June 22. When an employee opened the phone in an attempt to locate the owner, he found dozens of videos and pictures of children being raped while unconscious.
The next day, Campos returned to the restaurant in search of his lost phone. Instead of letting him know they had his phone, employees took a photo of Campos’s vehicle and gave the phone to Franklin police, according to the affidavit.
Police were quickly able to identify one of the minors they say Campos raped in June 2020 and October 2021 in Williamson County — when the child was 10.
Since then, multiple people, including some now in their 20s, have come forward with information and concerns they may have been victims.
Police also found hundreds of videos and pictures on the phone, many of them were recordings of Campos raping at least 10 boys.
“We fear that, in addition to very recent victims, there could be a decade or more of victims out there,” Franklin Police Department Lt. Charles Warner said.
During off-hours, Campos frequented nearby school playgrounds, recruiting children to play on his soccer team. He has been a resident of Franklin for about 20 years, where he invited many children to his home to drug and rape them.
Because children in the videos were unconscious, police said, they may not have realized they were victims.
Police are asking parents who have been associated with Campos to contact Franklin police at 615-794-2513.

Probably the best they can do is put him in general population in prison. They can choose as his cell mate the worst and meanest lifer with nothing to lose.
