Eric Clapton, People’s Hero, Releases ‘This Has Gotta Stop’

Including video and lyrics to his new social justice anthem against government mandates on the eve of his American tour.

Eric Clapton has become more than a legendary rocker and guitarist with the debute his new track, “This Has Gotta Stop.” Now he is an American hero.

Predictably, mainstream media were quick to downplay this social justice song upon its Friday release. It’s a catchy tune with lyrics and visuals that portray what is on most people’s mind: These COVID, masks, lockdowns, vaccines bullish!t lies have to stop.

Only the most indoctrinated propaganda victims would dare find fault with “This Has Gotta Stop.”

Clapton said he had a “disastrous” reaction to the COVID-19 vaccine and blamed “propaganda [that] said the vaccine was safe for everyone” after he was left fearing he’d “never play again.”

“I took the first jab of AZ and straight away had severe reactions which lasted ten days. I recovered eventually and was told it would be twelve weeks before the second one,” Clapton said in a letter to architect and anti-lockdown activist Robin Monotti Graziadei, which was shared with Clapton’s permission.

Clapton, who received the AstraZeneca shot in February, added that he was later offered the second dose after six weeks, which he accepted only because he had “a little more knowledge of the dangers.”

“Needless to say the reactions were disastrous, my hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning, and pretty much useless for two weeks, I feared I would never play again,” Clapton wrote.

Clapton noted that he “should’ve never gone near the needle” because of his “peripheral neuropathy” but added the “propaganda said the vaccine was safe for everyone.”

“I continue to tread the path of passive rebellion and try to tow the line in order to be able to actively love my family, but it’s hard to bite my tongue with what I now know,” Clapton wrote.

“I’ve been a rebel all my life, against tyranny and arrogant authority, which is what we have now,” Clapton said of the song. “But I also crave fellowship, compassion and love … I believe with these things we can prevail.”

Lyrics to “This Has Gotta Stop” by Eric Clapton

This has gotta stop
Enough is enough
I can’t take this BS any longer

It’s gone far enough
If you wanna claim my soul
You’ll have to come and break down this door

I knew that something was going on wrong
When you started laying down the law

I can’t move my hands
I break out in sweat
I wanna cry
Can’t take it anymore

This has gotta stop
Enough is enough
I can’t take this BS any longer

It’s gone far enough
If you wanna claim my soul
You’ll have to come and break down this door

I’ve been around
Long long time
Seen it all
And I’m used to being free

I know who I am
Try to do what’s right
So lock me up and throw away the key

This has gotta stop
Enough is enough
I can’t take this BS any longer

It’s gone far enough
If you wanna claim my soul
You’ll have to come and break down this door

Thinkin’ of my kids
What’s left for them
And then what’s coming down the road

The light in the tunnel
Could be the southbound train
Lord, please help them with their load

This has gotta stop
Enough is enough
I can’t take this BS any longer

It’s gone far enough
If you wanna claim my soul
You’ll have to come and break down this door

This has gotta stop
Enough is enough
I can’t take this BS any longer

It’s gone far enough
If you wanna claim my soul
You’ll have to come and break down this door

(This door)
(This door)
(This door)
(Break down this door)

(This door)
(This door)
(This door)
(Break down this door)

  1. Eric Clapton took his vaccine shot at about the same time. He had similar symptoms for about 2 weeks. Though he would never be able to play his guitar again. He is getting ready to tour the US and he has a new song about it called “This Has Got to Stop”

  2. After this week’s continuum of disasters of the Government’s making, there is no more giving them the benefit of the doubt regarding their ill intentions for us all.
